Redcar Energy Centre

The Redcar Energy Centre will be a state-of-the-art materials and energy recovery facility generating baseload power to more than 100,000 homes and providing renewable heat to the UK’s largest industrial zone. The project will create 450 full time jobs during construction, 80-100 new fulltime jobs during operation and will support many other jobs within the local supply chain.

We are excited to have been given this opportunity to deliver a project of this scale in a region steeped in industrial excellence and be part of the ambitious redevelopment objectives of the South Tees Development Corporation.

The project secured planning permission on the 27th January 2021 from Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council and we hope to be able to break ground within 15 months.
